袋x 2

A BBQ, a fire engine Lego set, a huge banana, and two new bags! All in one weekend! First off, 聯合姐姐just came back from Hong Kong on Friday, welcome back! She bought so much stuff from HK, it was literally all over the place when 索尼婷 and I arrived at their house. Got a few gifts from her, a fire engine lego set, a huge blow-up banana(took me just 5 mins to blow it up! 唔好諗歪﹗) and my favorite... an Astro Boy messenger bag! The front of the bag is a palatte of Astro's different body parts and what their functions are. The cool thing about it is when you look at it in different angles, the image will change to a different image showing the inner machinery of those parts. Reminds me of openings in recent blockbuster movies such as "Spiderman", "X-men", "War of the World", where the camera starts out from the microscopic genes and inner workings of life and extending out to the organism as a whole. A really nice bag, I'm sure I can put it to good use! Thanks 聯合﹗

On Saturday, it was nice to see some friends that I haven't seen for a while. Hoey hosted a pretty nice BBQ at his place for his birthday. the food was really good, we had some salad, sausages, chicken wings, & very tender ribeye steak! (should have asked for a piece of the 8 steaks that was still in the fridge! haha) The food was so good, I went back to the steak after I had the delicious chocolate cake that Alan brought. The rest of the gang downed the rest of the wine while I just relaxed and listen in on the conversion, would have been a good way to end the night, but the climax of the day is still to come!
I got home around 12:00am, and when i opened my mail box, excitement filled my heart when I saw THE package slip! The bag that I have been waiting for 3~4 months have finally arrived! It was well worth the wait as I laid my hands on my new Ferragamo bag! Thanks Mom, for the terrific gift! (haha, i seem so materialistic... oh well, this is my blog!) Anyways, got a chance to use both bags that i got this weekend. They will both see plenty of use at different occasions!

Some have suggested that the cultural difference between Asians and American will see the Astro bag as childish, not meaning to be rude, but... I DON"T REALLY CARE! I'm comfortable enough with myself to carry it around, so HA!

伴侶...Companions?

Wow, I slept for so long today after work... didn't even eat dinner. Now I can't fall asleep, but my misfortune is your gain, you get a new post from me! How exciting huh?! Anyways, as I lied in my bed, this picture I saw yesterday came into mind...

This is an actual product that you could order online... it's a hand cushion that is supposedly suppose to "fool" your baby into thinking that the parent is still holding on to them, whilst the parent is actually doing other stuff or resting. When I first saw this product, I couldn't help but think what has this world come to?! How could you just leave your babies with a cushion? SO IRRESPONSIBLE! But then I thought more thoroughly about it and realized that parents need a little break also from the 24hr responsibility of taking care of a baby. In the end, they will always still come back and care for their love... babies just need a caring companion, comfort...

Though not entirely relevent, it's somewhat like a relationship & friendship... though I always say that I enjoy being alone, whether traveling, going out or just staying at home, doesn't mean I dislike having a companion. I enjoy hanging out with friends and also time with the one I love. It's just that "being alone" is like "a little break" that the parents always needs. It gives me an opportunity to not have to think about other people's stuff and to relax by myself. I enjoy the calmness and quietness of thinking to myself, phasing out... no, not phasing out... more like composing the background noises so that it flows with my mind of thoughts...

But then I will always still need the comfort and care of others. Lately I've found that I've had enough break for a while... Haven't been spending much quality time with soemone that I care for a lot... and even less with my group of friends & also family. The following two weekends hopefully will be a fullfilling and let me regain some of those times. Kind of went of topic half way, but then again, that should have been expecting when you started reading this blog!
