軟硬! ...landing on PLUTO!?
Finally got my order from yesasia! I came home and immediately ripped through the package... here's what I got...[黑社會2 以和為貴]Election 2, 陳奕迅 [醞釀] Eason's Evolution(bad translation by the recording company), 陳奕迅 Get a Life 演唱會(Concert), "Pluto", and the most anticipated record of this year so far...
軟硬天師 既 LONG TIME NO SEE!!!
Although couldn't be there for their come back concert in HK (if anyone is going to their concert, buy me their mask, t-shirt, and hat please!!!), but at least I got their CD/DVD to occupy me til their Concert DVD comes out... maybe they will have a blue-ray version, here's crossing the fingers for that. Anyways, back to the CD itself... it's no wonder they are so popular and such a stable part of HK's pop, fashion & design culture. Just the design & quality of the album is astonishing... the 12"x12" booklet/case is not revolutionary, but the photographs and graphic design in them are enough to make you giggle... not in a girly way of course! Besides the cover, the songs are pretty decent too, reminiscent of their past work, lots of great beats and the usual mocking of HK's societal problems and their own personal lives. So far my favorite is "Encore", somewhat a [流行曲] type song by Jan, which also involved 阿葛.

I also got Pluto, by 浦澤直樹 X 手塚治虫(Naoki Urasawa X Osamu Tezuka). Though I don't know who Urasawa San is, but I had to check it out when i saw it's based on one of Tezuka San's international famed works - ATOM BOY! So far it's not too bad, very familiar if you've read Tezuka's other works, which are focused a lot on human nature & emotion, effects of technological adavancement and environmental issues of our planet. Atom is just making his appearance, can't wait for the next issue. As a bonus there are very faint references to Tezuka's other work also! Keep an eye out for this series!

終於有得去日本啦﹗等咗咁耐﹐終於可見識下日本既風味﹗我亦有三年無反香港﹑上海﹐一諗起就興奮﹗今次一定要玩同食盡佢﹗不過以㗎要儲錢﹐到時先至可以喪玩買﹗整個月﹐一個禮拜係上海﹑一個係香港﹑跟住差唔多兩個禮拜係日本﹗
